comments of Monday's briefing before the House Appropriations Committee,
Mahon "Special Group" Subcommittee, concerning the NID. In brief, I
agreed with Preston that we would start delivery of the NID on Monday,
26 August. Marcia Matts and Sandy Gilbert, House Appropriations Committee
staff, as well as Preston will be cleared to sign for the NIDs daily. Preston
will send out a short notice to the Chairmen and each of the Subcommittee
members on the matter. The NID will not be available to other staff members.
