being the appropriate contact in DDS&T through which the charac-
teristics of the Space Shuttle could be made known to persons
engaged in the development of new systems employing space deployed
elements. May I look to your office to establish the additional
clearances which are required.
The Space Shuttle, when operational, will provide ready, relatively

these new capabilities can profoundly influence the character of

Referencing your letter of 2~ May 1972, I have talked to
Mr. Harold Brownman about your int'v ,rest in discussing possible
relationships between the Space Shuttle'-.a.nd other new space systems
in which we are involved. Mr. Brownmaand his staff will serve
as points of contact for such exchanges.
I would suggest that Tom Albert contact Mr. Brownman,
to arrange an initial meeting. At the
moment I do not think it necessary to arrange additional clearances.
These will be provided at an appropriate time when required.
Sincerely,
