SUBJECT : Update of DCID 1/2, U. S. Intelligence
Objectives and Priorities
1. By memorandum of 24 July, General Walters designated
Dr. Herbert J. Jenne, Chief, Information Requirements Staff, DDI,
as the Agency coordinator of comments on DCID 1/2. This designa-
tion is in response to USIB Memorandum D-5.1/18, 18 July which
requests comments on the DCID from USIB principals by 1 September.
2. You are requested, therefore, to forward your responses
to the questions raised in the attachment to the USIB Memorandum to
the Information Requirements Staff by 21 August. When forwarding
your views, would you also please designate a representative whom
we may contact to resolve any divergence of views which may develop
within the Agency.
