1. Told Dr. Tietjen and Mr. Kirkpatrick that the Office of the Deputy Di-
rector Plans) was willing to provide a position for a psychiatrist in the W
ommendation in this regard. Mr. Kirkpatrick is to take action on this and let

5. Told Harry Reynolds that the Director had questioned the necessity of
advertising in the newspaper to step up recruiting and had asked me to discuss
the matter with him. He said that he would prefer to let it go a few days and
would discuss it with me when he had finished his orientation.
6. Harry Reynolds said that he was almost in daily touch with Chauncy
Robbins of the Republican National Committee and believed Robbins was satisfied.
However,, we will be able to place vary few, if any, of the people whoa Robbins
is sponsoring.
7. Lunched with Mr. Dulles, General. Cabello Mr. Houston, Mr. Pforzheimer,
and Mr. Charles Grimes, Chief Counsel to the Senate Internal Security Committee
Penner Commmittee).
