Walter Pforzheimer reports that the Cabell Bill passed the Senate this af- ternoon and will probably come up in the House on Tuesday. Mr. Dulles has been ad- vised. 25X1A9a 2. inquired as to the status of his proposed letter to the 25X1A6 o th Navy requesting transportation for seven men and seven escorts from I asked him to check with Colonel Edwards on this matter. 25X1A9a 3. Mr. telephoned concerning Concurrence in the ad-25X1 A2c ministrative p Fan was conditioned upon deve o en o a e er funding mechanism, as recommended by the Cover Division. Mr, m stated that the Cover Division was 25X1A9a not prepared, at the moment, to make any specific recommendations and he requested 25X1A9 our permission to continue with the present system until a better one could be de- avised. He advised that as agreeable and I requested that he send a paper along to that effec or signature here. We also discussed briefly the modi- fication of the plan to provide for the administration of a liquidation reserve sim- 25X1 C4Ciar to that provided for - The administrative plan will be amended to take care of this matter. 25X1A9a 1. Mr. telephoned to say that he had seen some of the work being done by O&M in connec on with the survey of the Psychiatric and Psychological As- sessment Programs. He wanted me to know that he had under consideration a special problem involving the Psychological Assessment Staff which he believed emphasized the necessity for our study and he wanted to make sure that we took advantage of his information before making any final recommendations on this subject. I assured him that we would do so and, in fact, would greatly appreciate his comments and re- commendations on the study finally produced by O&M. 25X1 A9a 5? reported back from the Far East and I spent some time with him discussing the situation in that area. 6. The ADD/A approved of and forwarded to the DD/P, through the CAO/DDP, a 25X1A9amemorandum from the AD/P requesting overseas travel on or about 6 April 1953 for Chief, Projects Branch, Military Personnel Division.
