had not au orize the grades requested for a rather large number of DD/P personnel.
He said that a number of people already held the higher grades. I told him that in
these cases only we would make exceptions but that these exceptions were not to be
interpreted as commitments that the positions would actually be authorized at the
higher grades when we got around to a detailed classification review.
