I told him that while we were aware of the need of his Office for additional
space I could not promise him any relief since this was an acute problem all
over the Agency.
2. Introduced Mr, Garrison to , Senior Representative in
- a discussion of our difficulties in connection with the procurement
arms and ammm tion.
3, Through arranged for Dr. Tietjen to go to Andrews Field and
talk to Captain Gazely, USN, about transporting patients via MATS.
4, is anxious to set up procedures on special allowances. I
told him we a planned to combine the Special Contracting Unit and the Al-
lowances function in Personnel and that I had instructed the Personnel Office to
have appropriate regulations ready by 10 October but would attempt to see that
they were expedited.
