DIARY NOTES
ADD/A (Colonel White)
12 March 1952

1, Colonel Peter Hains of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, with
whom I discussed our priorities problem a day or two ago, telephoned to say
that Colonel Dunn of the Joint Staff has the matter in hand and will contact
me. If I do not hear from Dunn by noon tomorrow, I will contact him.
2, Ed Saunders reports that his contact in the Bureau of the Budget, who
is on one of the Dispersal Committees, reports that their deliberations are
just beginning and that they at this time have nothing definite in mind as to
which agencies should be dispersed. This is in connection with the possibility
of complications on the location of our new building.
3. Ed also reports that the supplemental appropriation bill going in
during the month of March does not cover construction. It is almost certain
that our appropriation cannot be requested until some time after the first of
April.

10. Approved the publication of a notice which will discontinue shuttle
bus runs on Saturdays. This is done because for the past sixty days the number
of persons riding shuttle busses on Saturdays has averaged less than one per
run, (Sixteen runs per day.) On one Saturday nobody rode a bus all day; and
on another, only four people, Transportation will be provided on call from
the Motor Pool.
