1. Jim Garrison and others from the Logistics Office briefed me on a pro-
posed agenda for the first meeting of the steering committee working on the de-
velopment of plans for a permanent headquarters building.
3. I also talked to the Bureau of the Budget representatives about a re-
quest that we supply them with a dollar figure which would represent the origi-
nal cost of fixed communications or point to point transmission equipment where
the signal is directed overseas. After some discussion I agreed to furnish
them with a dollar figure without any identification.
4. Attended a Project Review Committee Meeting at which one project for
consideration had to do with dehumidified storage space for communications
equipment Since the Office of Communications indicated that they
planned to use all of this space for communications equipment, the question.
arose as to whether there was a need for additional dehumidified storage space
and the Deputy Director (Administration) was asked to determine this. I have
placed this requirement on the Logistics Office.
