Spent considerable time with Ed Saunders, 25X1A9a and in connection with TSS's reluctance to supply the Bureau of the Budge with information which it had requested concerning contracts leading to the development t of materiel. The TSS representatives agreed... although still reluctantly. , .to supply the necessary data. (Submitted on 23 October.) 3. Dr. Tietjen reported that the Department of State now had adequate Asian flu vaccine to meet their own needs and therefore recommended that we turn back to the supplier the 4, 000 units which we had planned previously to give to them. I approved of this but asked him to check with me before returning more than that amount. 4. Gates Lloyd and I met with Congressman Broyhill and Messrs. Holland and Ken- drick of the Old Dominion Bank concerning the latter's desire to supply our banking ser- vices when we move to Langley. I told them that we would give this request every con- sideration. (See Gates' Memorandum for the Record.) 5. At Stan Grogan's suggestion Miss Jean Rogers of the Washington Post and Times Herald telephoned for information concerning our assurances of public transportation to and from the Langley site. I reviewed with her our conferences with the various public transportation companies and particularly those with the Washington, Maryland, and Virginia Coach Company who have assured us in writing that they will furnish necessary transportation. U he is prepared to recommend that some imparts body such as the Killian Commit- look into this matter. He doesn't think that the FBI will like this but believes that it is the right course for as to follow.
