Approved For Release 2000/9/08 : CIA-RDP76-00183R000300020212-6 NMW DIARY NOTES - 26 JULY 1. I interviewed on his return from leave and advised him of his new cadre assignment. I also told, him that if this cadre did not actually go out sometime in the near future I would expect to provide a replacement for him in the cadre so that he could proceed with his assignment to the Office of Communications STATINTL in September. I also told him that I hoped he could still give enough time to the FE Division so that it would not be necessary for to cancel his pro posed leave. 2 . I talked to about his relief from the NEA Division and as, signment to the WH Division. I made it clear to him that were he performing to the satisfaction of the NEA Division it would not be appropriate to relieve him at this time. However, the fact is that NEA is anxious to have him relieved as soon as possible. I also told him that I had been frank with J. C. King in my discussions with regard to his assignment to the WH Division and that if he did not produce to J. C.'s complete satisfaction k I would be forced to remove him from that position also. STATINTL 3. , who is now assigned to the PPC' Staff, telephoned to re- quest that I participate in a briefing for General Bruce Clarke, the new Command- ing General of the U. S. Continental Army in a briefing scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on 31 July. I told him that I would not need more than twenty minutes. Approved For Release 2000/09/08 : CIA-RDP76-00183R000300020212-6
