DIARY NOTES
DD/S 27 May 1959
1. Mr. Macy, Commissioner, Public Buildings Service, telephoned to say
that he had resigned. We, therefore, agreed to cancel the luncheon which was
scheduled for. Thursday.
2. General _ advised me that he had a chance to pick up an excellent
auditor from the Department of the Air Force who had been working with Mr.
Bissell's office. He plans to hire him as a grade GS-14 and make him Chief of the
- office which is to be opened in the not too distant future.
3. Jim Garrison reported that the estimated date for completing the installa-
tion of all air conditioning equipment was 24 June.
4. Chief of Station in _ was in to see me. He is
returning to that Station for a few days prior to transferring -. He made
another pitch to have extend - or transfer
to a new field station. I told him that this request was impossible to grant and he
understood.
