7. I talked with nd Matt Baird about the possibility of employing Bob
, who will graduate from the College of William and Mary this summer. I
asked Matt to make the necessary arrangements to give him the full series of tests which
we would give to a JOT candidate. After this has been done we can decide whether he
should be placed in the JOT Program, elsewhere in the Agency or not employed at all.
8. Shef Edwards alerted me to the fact that some things in connection with Project
were not going well from a security point of view. He appeared to be somewhat
concerned about and I approved of his briefing J. C. King in full on anything
that he (Shef) thou t . ought to know. I asked him specifically about whether he was
concerned about and he replied negatively and said that he thought Bill was
doing a very good job.
