SECRET Approved For Release. 2001/03/30 : CIA-RDP76-00183RJ00300100139-9 25X1A DD/S 1. At the Deputies' Meeting this morning: 25X1A 16 June 1961 a. We discussed the most recent space problem in the new building. The question is whether WH`, which we have assumed would not be in existence at this time, should go into the building or not. The Director A L_ decided that it should. The second question then was whether we should use up the contingency space which we are providing or leave additional components out of the building. It was the consensus that we should re- tain the 15,000 square feet of contingency space which means theeddi- tional components must be left out of the building. has es - 25X1A9a timated that this may require as much as 16,000 square feet and I have asked Logistics and the Building Planning Staff for their recommendations as to how to solve this problem as early as possible. b. I attempted at the meeting to obtain oral concurrence in Shef Edward's proposal for the "exposed badge" system in the new building. It was obvious that this was a little distasteful to some people and in the course of discussion the Director said that we would discuss it later. I believe that I can get concurrence when I can find time to present it again at the Deputies' Meeting. 25X1A9a 2. called me seeking assistance in compiling a list of scientists 25X1 A9a and engineers in the Agency. I designated to handle this for the Office of the DD/S. 3. John Tietjen was over to give me a brief run down on the five JOT applicants who have been turned down by the Psychiatric Staff. In every case it seemed clear to me from the information available, which was supplied generally by the applicant himself, that he certainly should be turned down. I asked John to get in touch with Matt Baird and brief him on these cases. DD/S:LKW:mam Approved For Release 2001/03/30 CIA-RDP76-00183R000300100139-9 ECRET
