1. - buzzed to say that at lunch today there had been considerable dis-
cussion as to the necessity for heliocopter service to the new building. Apparently,
both General Cabell and Mr. Dulles were there and Walt wanted to tip me off about the
conversation. I told him that we had done some thinking in this field but that we had
not made any firm plan. I think that in view of General Cabell's interest in this we
would be wise to go ahead and staff out the various possibilities for this service. (I
should ask Logistics to do this at an early date.)
2. Emmett Echols advised me that per the Director's instructions General Cabell
would sign all farewell letters to personnel who were retiring in the future.
25X1 X7 3. telephoned to fill me in at some length on a flap growing out
of contacts with the without the knowledge of the EE Division in connection
25X1A9a with the - investigation. Bob is going to brief Dick Bissell on the entire matter,
which has been carried on in full coordination with the CI Staff, and will let me know
if there is anything further that I can or should do.
