SECRET Approved For Release 20 /O8/01 : CIA-RDP76-00183R00040002WO-7 DIARY NOTES DD/S lt/' 19 July 1962 1. I attended Shef Edwards' Staff Meeting, at which there were about twenty people. I was most favorably impressed with the manner in which they conducted their business and the amount of ground they were able to cover in the period of one hour. 2. Jim Garrison called me about who is wondering what he will do after he has finished with the Manpower as Force. I told Jim that I thought Mel should find himself a job in some other agency since he will continue to be a placement problem here. However, if he has not done so by the time the Task Force has completed its study, we can use him to good advantage on until the NPIC move is completed. 3. I talked to- and Walter Pforzheimer about pictures, exhibits, etc., in the new building. (I think that they might be helpful in this regard, and I do want to get something started on this very soon.) 25X1A9a 25X1A9 4. telephoned to say that he had talked with Matt Baird, who was 25X1A6a a opposed to concept of organization at lso 25X1A9a 25X1A9a was opposed. Matt suggested that we consider for the io to d Bill that I would look into this. STATSPEC 5. Shef Es called to alert me to the fact that an employee_ on 25X1A9a 25X1A6anameddward had decided to return to _ (Inasmuch as he had no to classified information, I see no risk here except bad publicity if the 25X1A6a press should play it up as a CIA defection.)
