MEMORANDUM FOR: Colonel White
We have had a quiet two days, but there are a few points about which
you might wish to be informed:
(a) The problem of Senator Church's letter has only been
mentioned briefly at the morning meeting and the Director seems
satisfied that it is a closed incident.

Chief Telephone Operator, reported
that none of the girls remember any inquiry concerning where
a riding page might leave a letter for the Director. She pointed
out that had Mr. McCone's name been mentioned, the call would
have automatically been referred to his office. has 25X1A9a
interview ge and his report is attached together with

a copy of final report on the matter. I have not sent
any of this to the ront o fice.
(b) Nothing has come up regarding the auxiliary buildin
Jim Garrison is still going after the new building at 25X1A6a
but he now finds the owner wants to retain the parking 25X1 A6a
facilities on the first five floors and rent them himself. The top
seven floors will contain about 200, 000 sq. ft. of office space.
(c) Sally has a note for you that Jim Garrison's office
called this morning to report that title to the two large tracts is 25X1A9a
now ours. I passed this on to _ in case someone asked
about it, but you might want to mention it at tomorrow's Executive
Committee meeting.
(d) As you will see fro emorandum for 25X1A9a
the Record on the morning meeting yesterday, there is to be a
general budget review with our appropriations subcommittee on
Monday at 9 a.m. John Bross is preparing a "talking paper" for
the Director and is now scheduled to go over this with him at
2:30 tomorrow (Friday). I gather this hearing is going to be
very general and is being held principally to enable the subcommittee

We are not expected to attend either the
Friday rehearsal or the hearing itself, but Johnny said he would
