MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director of Central Intelligence
SUBJECT . Significant Activities during the Period
16 through 30 May 1974
The following Management and Services Directorate events which
were reported during your absence may be of interest to you:
1. Off-Campus Program
Following the success of the Off-Campus Program during its
initial academic year, the Office of Training is proceeding with plans
for an expanded program this fall. We will continue with arrangements
made with the University of Virginia and may add some selected courses
about Systems and Technology of Management from American University.
We are planning soon to have a meeting in the Auditorium with the repre-
sentatives from the two universities to discuss their programs and to
answer employee questions. Prior to that meeting, a questionnaire will
be circulated to all employees to identify their preliminary interests
in various courses.
2. Training Clandestine Operations at the STAT
The Office of Training is coordinating the efforts of all
Agency operating components in drafting a suitable agreement for nego-
tiation with the Defense Intelligence Agency. We have not yet formally
received a copy of the ACSI feasibility study; however, preliminary
copies provided by the Intelligence Community Staff are enabling the
Management and Services Directorate to expedite the response that
probably will be required. We expect to have the initial draft of the
proposed agreement ready for review by the affected components by 31 May.
3. Communications
