Significant Activities during the Period 16 through 30 May 1974 The following Management and Services Directorate events which were reported during your absence may be of interest to you: 1. Off-Campus Program Following the success of the Off-Campus Program during its initial academic year, the Office of Training is proceeding with plans for an expanded program this fall. We will continue with arrangements made with the University of Virginia and may add some selected courses about Systems and Technology of Management from American University. We are planning soon to have a meeting in the Auditorium with the repre- sentatives from the two universities to discuss their programs and to answer employee questions. Prior to that meeting, a questionnaire will be circulated to all employees to identify their preliminary interests in various courses. 2. Training Clandestine Operations at the STAT The Office of Training is coordinating the efforts of all Agency operating components in drafting a suitable agreement for nego- tiation with the Defense Intelligence Agency. We have not yet formally received a copy of the ACSI feasibility study; however, preliminary copies provided by the Intelligence Community Staff are enabling the Management and Services Directorate to expedite the response that probably will be required. We expect to have the initial draft of the proposed agreement ready for review by the affected components by 31 May. 3. Overseas Medical Survey Dr. John R. Tietjen, Director of Medical Services and Dr. of the Clinical Division, Office of Medical Services, departed 12 May for a three-week medical survey of Agency activities in the Far East.
