Letter of August 28, 1956, from General C. P. Cabe'', Acting
Director, made application for transfer of a portion of the prop
erty known as the Langley Research Station, Fairfax County,
Virginia, reported excess to the needs of the Department of Com-
merce September 18, 19564
The Department of Commerce has been authorized to avcomplith the
transfer of 131.563 acres of the propertr, without reimbursements
effective as of the date your agency accepts custody of and
accountability therefor. This action has been approved by the
Director of the Bureau of the Budget.
A copy of our letter of even data to the Department of Commerce
is enclosed for your information. It is requested that such
steps as necessary be taken by your Agency to consummate the
transaction.
