MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
FROM: Chief, Budget Division
SUBJECT: Budget Estimates for Building
1. Mr. Wilhelm of the Bureau of the Budget called and requested
information concerning estimated expenditure figures for the new
building construction for the Fiscal Years 1956 and 1957. The follow-
ing figures were given:
FY 1956
FY 1957

The FY 1956 figure, was obtained by adding the recorded expenditures
reflected on the CIA records of $7,750 with the expenditure figure
Obtained from Mr. Ridenauer of GSA in the amount of $2,397. The
FY 1957 expenditure figure was obtained by adding the estimated amount
of expenditure shown in the budget submission of $6,538,510 with the
under-expenditure of budget estimates for FY 1956 of $163,853.
2. Mr. Wilhelm also asked if it was contemplated that additional
authority would be requested during FY 1957. He was told that, pending
the receipt of further information, it was being planned to request
$10,000/000 of additional authority.
