In response to referent request, the Support Directorate has
reviewed the number of delegations of classification authority pre-
vailing in this Directorate, giving particular attention to need.
We are taking immediate steps to revoke Secret classifying authority
from 71 persons and Confidential classifying authority from 24
persons. We also will request that the classifying authority of
four persons be reduced from Top Secret to Secret and we will reduce
the authority of six persons from Secret to Confidential.
