MEMORANDUM FOR:
SUBJECT: Declassification Authorization
1. You are hereby authorized to declassify or downgrade
those records deposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library
for which the Central Intelligence Agency has current national
defense classification jurisdiction.
2. In exercising this authority, it is understood that you
will adhere closely to established precedents and guidelines
governing the declassification and release of materials originated
by the Office of the Coordinator of Information and the Office of
Strategic Services. Moreover, no documents dealing with
subject matter which is the primary concern of another U. S.
Government agency will be declassified or downgraded without
the prior concurrence of that agency.
3. You will be expected to maintain complete and accurate
records of all declassification and downgrading actions taken and
to mark the documents in the prescribed manner.
