SUBJECT Historical Consultants
1. Attached per your request is a very preliminary
list of individuals, primarily historians at academic
institutions, who might be considered for membership on
an advisory panel, to review CIA histories for relevance,
accuracy, objectivity, and other prerequisites. These
individuals are grouped according to the sources from which
their names were derived. In general, they are historians
who have specialized in US foreign relations or foreign
regional history.
2. To date none of the individuals is witting of
possible Agency interest in connection with the CIA
Historical Program, although several now serve as Agency
consultants for other purposes.
