Approved For Release 2002/05/06 : CIA-RfP77-00512R000100030210-2 D}A 75-4127 3 0 AUG 1975 MFMORA:?' SUBJECT OR: Inspector General Inspection Program Memo Jtd 27 Aug 75 to DDA fr subj (IG 7S-3227) 1. As you are well aware, the Office of Security has borne the brunt of a tremendous' amount of investigation, not only at the hands of the Presidential Commis: ion, but also by the Senate and House Select Committees. To add to this alToost staggering work load, which is debilitating and the subject matter demoralizing, we now have the Department of Justice investigating some 46 present and former me hers of the Off f.c-e Security 2. It is our contention that if on top of all of this t Agency conducts an internal inspection program with the Office of Security first in line, we may be doing ourselves and tit Office of Security personnel a disservice. 3. 1 would strongly urge that you not select the ?ffi.-e of Security as the first component in the Agency for your inspection, but rather put it down the list somewhat, even second or third would have some a eliorating aspects to it. Y. would be content to have Personnel, Logistics: or Training =c first and we are even magnanimous enough to suggest that possil"Dr component from the DUO eight be first in line. ;'fined t~ John F.
