10. 1 1 Called Les JanNSC staff, in
follow up of our conversation on 21 February and Mr. Iffb Roy Ratliff' s,
NSC staff, note to Mr. Colby on the Harrington resolutions, 1-1 Res 206
and 207. Janka confirmed that no action is required of the Agency with
respect to these resolutions. He also told me that there would be a
negative response to on these
resolutions.
ll. Met with John O. Marsh, Counselor to
the President, concerning a matter the Director asked me to discuss with
him. See Memo for Record.
12. Talked with Eric von Marbod, DOD, who
confirmed that there is a delegation of House members leaving tomorrow
for Vietnam and that Representative Bella Abzug is on the list of those
scheduled to go.
13. Talked with Representative Jack Kemp, as
a follow up to his request at the Director's briefing on 21 February, and
offered to arrange a briefing on Vietnam for himself, and Representatives
Flynt and Giamo. Kemp said he was not going on the trip tomorrow but that
he would like to have this briefing personally or with the other two members.
He took my phone number and will be in touch when he can arrange this.
14. 1 -1 Placed a call to Representative Robert
Giaimo to ootter Me brie. ing on Vietnam but he never returned the call.
15. Maitland McCord, in the office of Representative
John Flynt, called and requested a copy of the Director's unclassified state-
ment which he gave at the 20 February 1975 briefing of House Defense
Appropriations Subcommittee. This has been sent.
16. 1 Spoke to Mr. James Kronfeld, House Govern-
ment Operations Committee staff, who advised that since Representative Bella
Abzug was going to Vietnam in the morning, the Director's briefing of her
Subcommittee on Government Information and Individual Rights would be
postponed. He said he would advise us later as to another time and date.
