Murphy suggested that the Congressman or his aide, John Andalin, come
to him for the information. Murphy said the Committee was planning
on holding a session with Mr. Colby sometime in February.

6. (Internal Use Only - LLM) BRIEFING Attended a briefing
of Senator Bennett Johnston (D., La.) on the Middle East.
7. (Internal Use Only - LLM) LIAISON Called Guy McConnell,
Senate Appropriations Committee staff, and told him that we had just
briefed Senator Bennett Johnston (D., La.) on the Middle East. I also
told him that Senator Daniel Inouye (D., Hawaii.) wanted to have the
same briefing. I said that we had done a number of the briefings and
we felt that maybe the full Appropriations Committee would be interested
in having this briefing. McConnell said he would check and be back in
touch.
8. (Unclassified - LLM) LIAISON John Swearingen, Senate
Rules and Administration Committee staff, called saying they had received
a request from an individual in Utah wanting a copy of the testimony of
Robert F. Bennett before the Select Committee on Presidential Campaign
Activities.. He said the individual learned of the transcript by reading the
published Baker Report. I told Swearingen that I would have to check and
be back in touch. I said I would send him a copy of the 1 February 1974
Memorandum of Conference between Senator Howard Baker (R., Tenn.)
and myself.
