ADDENDUM TO JOURNAL
OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL
Monday -- 3 November 1975
25X1
1. LIAISON Took a call from Bob Schick,
of Senator Hugh Scott's staff (R. , Va. ), who had talked to a State Department
officer who told him that the Agency had its own program for taking care
of Laotian escapees/refugees in Thailand. He wanted. to know whether
this was true and what criteria we used to select those who would be
permitted to enter the United States on parole status. After checking with
Schick was informed that we had no program of our
own and our requirements for handling this are by the normal State process.
In terms of criteria we also use: he State procedures.
