20. Per instructions, sent
to Brady Williamson, in the office of Senator Dick Clark (D., Iowa),
a copy of the biographic sketch on Mr. Colby for the Senator's use
in connection with his breakfast/briefing at Headquarters with the
Director on Thursday, 22 May.

his request for debriefing information After checking
25X1A with AC/CIOPS, I called Sourwine back and informed him
that some of the material was being compiled and would be provided to him
within the next few days.

22. Called Duke Short, on the staff of the Senate
Judiciary Subcommittee on Internal Security, and confirmed the meeting
for tomorrow at 10:00 a, m. with in
Short's office to discuss Short's interview of next week.

23. Carol Nicholson, in the office of Senator
Ted Stevens (R. , Alaska), called. She had received the Agency's reply to a.
letter from a constituent, inquiring as to the well being of
a Vietnamese national. Nicholson said that the constituent is considered
a "crank" by their office and they will not forward our letter as requested
by the constituent.

24. Received a call from Mike Telson. House
Budget Committee staff, in follow up to his earlier call with
requesting a briefing on the energy situation in Mexico and Venezuela. (See
25X1A Journal Item #8, 6 May 1975) I told Telson wou be in touch
with him to line up the briefing, if was at all possible.
