LIAISON Called Scott Cohen, Executive Assistant to Senator Charles Percy (R. , M. ), and alerted hirn to the package we sent to the Senator which includes a letter from the Director to Senator John McClellan. (D. , .A.rk,) expressing the Director's concern over the Senate Select Corrurdttee's proposed release of their ''assassination report," Cohen said he would be sure the Senator sees the letter. I told Cohen the Director was having a press conference at the moment to explain the reasons why names of ciaiployees should ],)e deleted front. this report. Cohen suggested we get a transcript. of that press conference printed up as soon as posriible and get it to the members of the Senate. He said that way the members would have the whole story instead of just what the reporters want to put out. 25X1A 7, I.,l!).I7ON Received a call from OCI, in regard to the briefing for Rick Gilcnore, oil the staff of the Subcommittee on Multinational Corporations, Senate Foreign Relations Comrn.ittee, scheduled for 20 Novernber, 1000 a. rrt. I I said that the briefing would have to be rescheduled for 1'riday, 2}. November, 10:00 a. m. I called Mr. Gilmore and gave h.i.rn the above information.
