we had briefed the House Axmecl Services Subcommittee on Intelligence
this week on the same subject that Congressman Leggett is asking about
and that he could probably obtain full satisfaction from either Chairman
Lucien Nedzi (D. , Mich.) or Frank Slatinshek, Chief Counsel. Miles
said he would suggest to Congressman Leggett that he call either
Chairman Nedzi or Slatinshek and that if he was not fully satisfied he
would be back in touch with us.

in whether the Soviets are planting sensors off the cost of California

wanted some information on a
I obtained some open material from EA Division for passage to Teague.
17. BRIEFING Called Peggy Weeks, of the
National Security and International Affairs Division of the Congressional
Budget Office, to arrange for a visit to the Agency by Ms. Weeks, Dov
Zackheim, and John E. Koehler, who is the Assistant Director of the
Division. They want to discuss international commodities agreements
with OER. The briefing is set for 0900 tomorrow morning.
This was coordinated with
18., (Unclassified - DFM) LEGISLATION Talked to Bill Jones,
INR, State Department, regarding State's objections to our letter to OMB
on H. R. 1311. I told Jones that we had concluded. that State's objections
had some validity and we agreed that I would pass State's point of view on
to George Gilbert at OMB.
