} Mr. Ron Tammen, in the office of Senator
Senator Charles Mathias this afternoon and they were going to put together
a Committee print based on the 4 June 1975 briefing by Mr. Duckett. He
said what they would be using would be the three or four pages of that testimony
which Mr. Duckett had sanitized for release. Tammen said when they had a
draft ready, they would like someone to come up and read it over before they
send it to the printers. Mr. Hineman, OWI, was alerted to go up.
Later in the day, Mr. Tammen called and said it has been postponed.

established. I called her back to advise her, she said she thought this migh ire . the case.

12. I I Spoke with Barry Brust, on the staff of
Representative o ert Drinan (D., Mass. ), concerning his request for
Agency economic research information entitled "People's Republic of C.hi.na.-
Economic Indicators. " I said we would send him a copy of this and
advised him that the Joint Economic Committee would. soon be publishing a
volume on the Chinese economy in which the Agency participated.
1) Met with Ron Tarnrzien, on the staff
of Senator William Proxmire (D. , Wisc. ), and provided him with the final
follow-ups to Mr. Duckett's testimony before the Appropriations Subcommittee

15. (Unclassified -- RJK) Attempted to see David Martin, Internal
Security Subcornmiteee staff, Senate Judiciary Committee, but he was out of the
office. Left with the staff, per Martin's request, a major listing of the
appearances of during the period of 1970-1975. 7
requested that Martin give me a call concerning the remaining parts of his
request.
16. Met with Robert Clark, Minority staff,
Senate Appropriations Committee, and provided him with a. copy of the Agency

32. 1 Ed Schallert, on Representative Les Aspin's
(D., Wis.) staff, callod to ask if we could provide him with any information on
trends in .knurl-A nyeiall defense exne- r3is4ix -giver the past five years. He said
he was particularly interested in whether these expenditures are on the increase
decrease or are stable. If there have been any fluctuations, he would like to
know whether they have occurred in the manpower side or in weapons procure-
ment. I told Schallert that I would check with our people on this and be back in
touch with him. His request sounds vaguely reminiscent of requests we h.a.~TAT
received a short time ago from Mark Kleinman on .spin's staff.
