10. Called David Russell in the office of
Senator Dewey F. Bartlett (R. , Okla.) and told him of the arrangements for
Senator Bartlett`s visit to the Agency for breakfast tomorrow. I told him we
planned to brief the Senator on the functions of the Agency and. its relationships
to the executive branch and to the Congress, and to give him a briefing on
Russell, asked about accompanying the Senator
and I politely indicated that the sensitivity of the material was of such a
nature as to preclude this. He did. not press the issue further.

the request of Winslow Wheeler of the Senator's staff. He advised that
