Z. (Unclassified - WPB) LIAISON Called Sam Vinson, legislative
assistant to Representative Edward Madigan (R., 111. ), in connection with
his inquiry concerning the Agency's intensive language program in. French.
He said that he had phoned the Agency on this matter because you are the
only place in town where one can call up and get a straight answer. " I.
suggested to him that he call Dr. Howard Sollenberger, at the Foreign
Service Institute in Rosslyn, explaining that FSI had an excellent intensive
language program. He thanked me for this suggestion.
3. (Unclassified - WPB) INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING Talked t:o
Charlotte Wilmer, administrative assistant to Representative John Breaux
(D., La. ). She informed Me that the Congressman was still planning to
visit Cuba toward the end of October and that she would be in touch with
me to arrange for a briefing as a follow-up to the textual material we have
already made available to the Congressman.
