I I Stopped at the office of Representative Robin Beard (R. , Tenn.) and advised them that although there has been a delay in the processing of the application of their constituent it is presently under active consideration. We will advise them of the results as soon as possible. 18. Stopped at the office of the T.PSriGta+,tze Counsel of -hie an.d delivered a letter addressed to lawrence a sen which had been missent to our office. 19. Left with Miriam Coulehan, Secretary to James Calloway, Chief Counsel and Staff Director, Senate Appropriations Committee staff, a package of recent press clippings relating to revelations about Agency domestic activities. 20. I In connection with his call of yesterday to Mr. Thuerme:r's office, Bill Raifford, Library of Congress, returned my call (see Item #6, 9 January 75) and I told him that the Agency, by law, does not publish overall figures for budget, personnel, etc. , but we do, in connection with the Affirmative Action Program of EEO, give certain percentages. I gave him the percentages for the past three years. No further action is necessary. 21. Talked briefly with Ed Braswell, Chief Counsel, Senate Armed Services Committee, and Jack Ticer, of the Committee staff, and left with them two copies of the Agee book. 22. Talked briefly with Frank Slatinshek, Chief Counsel, House Armed Services committee, about the list of witnesses that Chairman Nedzi, Intelligence Subcommittee, and Bill Hogan, of the Committee staff, had requested and the list of briefings and contacts with members and staff over the past four years. Slatinshek asked me to give these to Hogan. I subsequently saw Hogan and gave him a list of witnesses which included only the Director, the four Deputies, the IG and the General Counsel. The names of a number of other witnesses were mentioned but I indicated the Agency would prefer to limit its submission of suggested witnesses to those I have just mentioned.
