10. LIAISON Called Denver Dickerson,
Staff Director, Joint Committee on Printing, and set up an appointment
to talk about the Federal Depository Library Program. The meeting
will be held in his office at 10:30 a. m. on 2 December.
11. BRIEFING I spoke with ]:Richard
White, Administrative Assistant to Representative Dale Milford
(D., Texas), and set up a date for a briefing for Representative
Milford by nd both of
the IC Staff, on the situation in Korea. The briefing is scheduled
for 2:00 p.m. on 3 December in the Representative's office..,
I also set up a time for Carl Duckett, DDS I', to take the
Representative on a tour of certain facilities in the Washington area...
Carl Duckett and I will pick up Mr. Milford at 9:00 a. m. on, 3 December...
A three-hour period has been blocked out for this tour.
12. LIAISON Called John Childers, on the
Minority Staff of the Senate Government Operations Committee, in response
to his 25 November call to Mr.O I arranged to deliver some material
on the Intelligence Community to Childers this week and got some further
guidance on exactly what he needed.
13. r- I LEGISLATION In. response to her call to.
Mr. called Hilda Schreiber, OMB, regarding the legislation to
eliminate the one percent bonus added to each CIARDS cost: --of?-livi.ng increase.
Schreiber gave me two necessary minor changes in. our proposal and informed
me that OMB would likely clear the legislation this week.
14. LIAISON Called Neil. Newhouse, on the staff
of the House Wednesday Group, to let him know the., Agency had .no additionn.al.
unclassified material on trade, but ghat I could get: him a
copy of the August 1975 Handbook of Economic Statistics and that we would
be able to provide a briefing for Wednesday Group members on the subject.
Newhouse said the Group generally did not'have time to hear outside speakers,
but that he would very much like to chat with an Agency r. epresenta_t.ive on the
subject. I promised to get back to him regarding a staff briefing.
