Perhaps you have heard of Congressman Stewart McKin.ney's
campaign on the Hill, attempting to raise funds for Vietnamese
refugee relief. In a radio report this morning, I+understand
that the Congressman hopes to raise an average of $2..00 each
from nearly 14, 000 Hill employees. Because I felt that the
fund raising drive had great humanitarian effort, our Congressional
Liaison Office here at Commerce has volunteered to participate.
It was my thought that you might want to consider doing likewise
with your coworkers in as much as we are all involved in
Congressional activities.
I have since learned that checks should be made out to either
the Catholic Relief Service or the American Friends Service
Committee and forwarded to Mr. McKinney's office. Further
information can be obtained through the Congressman's office.
