1. (Unclassified - WPY) Called Ron Kienlen aLOMB, - General
Counsel's Office and informed him that we had no comments or. suggestions
concerning a proposed Executive Order amending Executive Order 10973,
relating to the administration of foreign assistance and related functions
and Executive Order 11501 relating to the administration of foreign military
sales. The proposed Executive Order was prepared by the Department of 25X1
State and does not affect CIA nor require Agency action.

3. (Confidential - PLC) Jack Boos, Intelligence Subcommittee
staff, House Armed Services Committee, called concerning the Agency's
letter to advising him that the A could not utilize
his machine translation machine, Boos said thatenc was in to see him. 25X1
and claimed that the Agency was not given a demonstration of the device and
further felt that those in the Agency whom he talked to were not at a very
high level. I told Boos I would look again into the matter and call him.
