8. I I LIAISON Received a call from. Russ
Rourke, who works for John O. Marsh, Counsellor to the President,
Rourke said Marsh was preparing a paper which he would have to submit
to the President by 5:00 p.m. on certain aspects of the House Select
Committee situation and said they are trying to locate any material on the
subject of the historical development of the handling of classified material
with the Congress. I told Rourke I was not certain we had any papers
on the topic as he had described it but I would check and let hirn know.
I called Rourke later and told him we had two documents (a memo
prepared by the General Counsel on 11 April 1975 on this subject and
another blind memo prepared in connection with the House Select Committee
confrontation) which I LDX'd to him as being of possible interest,
