Called Mrs. Ann Bolter, in the office of Representative Edward Derwinski (R. , Ill. ), and told her we would. like to arrange to see the Congressman as a follow up to his trip to Yugoslavia. I told her we had talked with him before he left and expressed an interest in talking to him when he returned. ,She said she would talk to the Congressman and call me back to set a date. would consider doing it. Sullivan said he thought the Senato~? would. He said he thought Michael Getler's treatment in his column this morning was pretty good. He said he thought Representative Les Aspin (D. , Wis. ) released the. paper to Getler. Later in the day, Sullivan called to say the paper was inserted in today's Congressional Record. Record without comment and asked if he thought Senator Sam Nunn (D. , Ga. ) z. ~ ~ Called Frank Sullivan, Senate Armed Services Committee staff, and asked what his reaction was to the paper on Vietnam. I said the Director would like to see this in the Can~r_essional 3. Called Clark McFadden, General Counsel, Senate Armed Services Committee, about a report I had received that Senator John Stennis (D. , Miss.) had asked GAO to do some sort cif a study an NRO. I said I couldn't believe Senator Stennis would ask GAO to get involved in that program. McFadden said it was news to him but he will check into it. He said they can't get GAO to do things for them because they are always tied up in things like this but will let me know. McFadden said Stennis would like a copy of notes on the 25X1 13 March 1973 meeting .with Senator Frank Church an his Chile hearings. and I told him I delivered those to Ed Braswell, Chief Counsel and Staff Director of the Committee, last week. 4. Slatinshek said they couldn't find anything and asked that we send him another copy.
