Representative William:Kasten's (R., Wis.) office requesting a copy
of the publication entitled, "Estimated Soviet Defense Spending in
Rubles, 1970-75." A copy was sent.
STATINTL 19. (Unclassified - RLB) LIAISON Took a call for
from Ms. Karen Press, on the staff of Representative George Miller
(D., Calif.). Ms. Press requested information on killings in South
Vietnam after the fall of Saigon. Ms. Press stated that the information.
was requested by the Congressman for his own information, and was not,
for release to the press or to a constituent. I told her I would check. into
the matter to determine if we had any information that could be provided
to the Congressman.

20. (Unclassified - RLB) LEGISLATION Spoke with Mr. George
A -nzstrong, on the staff of Representative John M. Ashbrook (R., Ohio),
,And with Mr. Tom Mooney, on the staff of the Subcommittee on Courts.,
Civil Liberties, and the Administration of Justice, House Judiciary
Committee, regarding the status of H. R. 214, the Right to Privacy Act
of 1976. Apparently the House Judiciary Committee was unable to re.-
focus its attention on H. R. 214 as scheduled earlier this week and thus
would not be able to conclude deliberations on the bill until after the
July recess.
21. (Unclassified - WPB) LIAISON Took a call from James Buchal,
in the office of Representative Larry Pressler (R., S.. Dak.). He wanted. to
ow whether the Agency's motor pool had been reduced over the past year.
ter checking with the Office of Logistics, I told Buchal.,
that we had reduced the number of driver slots in the past year. This
seemed to satisfy him. I asked him why he was interested, and he said he
didn't know, but he had been asked by the Congressman's Administrative
Assistant to check with all the agencies to find out if agencies in general were
reducing their motor pools.
22. (Unclassified - SKM) LIAISON Took a call from Winslow Wheeler,
in the office of Senator Jacob Javits (R. , N. Y.), who requested a copy of
Brezhnev',3 29 June speech in Berlin. I told Wheeler I.would forward. it to him.
