Approved For Release 2005/07/13: CIA-RDpy7r q 14y4R0011001500 5 TO MR. CARY FROM: Don SUBJECT: Letters to Congress on Financial Disclosure SUSPENSE DATE NOTE: Attached are four letters for the Director's signature on the subject of financial disclosure. All the bills in the House have been referred jointly to Judiciary and. Standards of Official Conduct Committees, and of the six Senate bills Government Operations has four and Rules has two. Since any one of these Committees could report out a financial disclosure bill, I think we must send our views to each of them. I added one very innocuous sentence to privacy paragraph. I think we would be negligent not to mention the Privacy Act, so I have merely asked that the Committees view. this legislation in the light of the Privacy Act.
