Act Amendments of 1974
REFERENCE Memorandum from Assistant Legislative Counsel,
dated 5 August 1975, Same Subject
1. Pursuant to your request, the Office of Security
has reviewed the Justice Department'.s draft bill concerning
the.amendment of Section 459 of the Social Security Act
(42 U.S.C. 659).
STAT
3. In view of the above, it is recommended that the
Agency reply to the Office of Management and Budget point
out that there are possible national security implications
inherent to the implementation that perhaps should be
addressed in the amendment itself. To do otherwise would
make it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to later
propose regulations that would divert from the full intent
of the bill.
