SRBJFCTs Action to be Taken on the Professional Selection
Panel Recommendations
1? At its meeting on 23 April 1953, the GI Career Service
Board established the policy that:
"1To one will be hired or retained in the Agency who in
disapproved by the Professional Selection panel except
by action of the Director of Central Thteiligence who
should be previously advised of the opinion of the CIA
Comer Service Board as to the action he should. tare
in the matter",
' 2. Accordingly,, the CIA Career Service Board will raviera
those c es in which an adverse recommendation is made by the
Professional Selection Panel if it is requested to do so by the
DD/I, DD/PS DD/A, AD/Como or the D/TR. Since the xecuti
Secretary of the CIA Career Service Bord also serves as
Executive Secretary of the Panel, the request will be made
through him so that he may prepare the necessary material
for the members of the Board to review.
