2. The directories of international Communist-front
organizations and Communist societies of friendship and cultural
relations were compiled at the request of Mr. Benjamin Mandel,
Research Director, Internal Se curity Subcommittee, United States
Senate. They are being furnished to other U. S. Government
agencies and will be made available in appropriate form to SEATO
and Baghdad Pact mechanisms.
3. The study of the major components of the Communist
movement in Mexico was initiated after an expression of interest
by the Immigration and Naturalization Service and The Federal
Bureau of Investigation. Copies have been sent to these and other
U. S. Agencies.
