Many units have been organized by the illegal Algerian Communist Party
to provide material support or support functions for the National Liberation
Ft (FLN)wa~r dn. Some of these A8P units provided explosives,
some carried out terrorism in the cities, some attacked police or postal.,
telephone and telegraph installations.
An ACP apparat at Blida forwarded
medical supplies, organized a network to promote French Army desertions, and:
sabotage Army and Air Force material at Blida. There were some reports which
stated that the Communist controlled labor Federation (CGT) in France provided
training for Algerian rebels.
It is probable that ACP will continue to follow its present tactic of
providing technical and sabotage support for theFLNl^^~`._ w~ut
