Peninsula
1. This is an attempt to summarize the available
overt and covert material on the subject. Nowhere in
the Near East are Communist and Communist front
activities less clearly defined. It is hoped, therefore,
that this paper will stimulate further investigation of
the subject and that the results of these investigations
will be made known to us.
2. Except where the information is described in
the text as confirmed or overt, it has not been found
practicable to try to evaluate it. It must therefore at
this stage be regarded as tentative only.
