MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: U. S. v. IBM (69 Civ. S. D. N.Y.)
1. Today, Grant Moy, Antitrust Division/Justice, called
to ask that we prepare a list of the documents we are withholding
from the inspection ordered to be conducted under Pretrial Order
No. Z. Justice would submit this to the Court and IBM counsel.
2. As described by Moy, the list should show:
a. Document classification
b. Date of document
c. Some indication of the subject matter
d. Type of document
(1) Report
(2) Letter
(3) Memo
(4) Chart
e. Number of pages
f. Originator
g. Addressee

3. On the basis of my observation that the making of such
a compilation would entail a somewhat burdensome undertaking, it
was agreed that Justice would submit a formal request for the infor-
mation it desired. We concluded with my telling Moy we would take
no action to consider this latest requirement until their request has
been received.
