This tour covered the EUCA and NATCA areas. On 10 September the first meeting of the newly constituted Ideas Panel took place with the Deputy Chief of the Branch serving as Acting Chairman. The Deputy Chief of the Branch participated in discussions with members of Mr. Bissel's office, and others, relative to the RamoWooldridge's proposal for the communications system was received during this report period. conferred with a representative of the Signal Corps on 3 September 1958 regarding advanced communications systems. (See Status Report: Advanced Communications Systems dated 15 September 1958.) (TACO) at Sherbourne, New York, to inspect plant facilities, sound out possible interest in R+D programs and procurement actions, and discuss a specific antenna requirement of an unclassified nature.
