SYSTEMS ENGINEERING BRANCH
ENGINEERING STAFF
1. Program reviews have been received from
and and applicable information has been incorpora a into
equipment budget planning, for FY 60-61, which is currently being
prepared for all areas.
2. The old GPT-750 from - is being modified to enable the
master oscillator oven heaters to be energized without activating
other circuits in the transmitter, and to eliminate mechanical
vibrations of the power amplifier blower which were modulating the
master oscillator frequency. These modifications can also be used
for the other four GPT-750's which were purchased two years ago for
evaluation.
3. Twenty-six dummy load coaxial resistors, 50-ohm, 500-watt,
were requisitioned as part of a program to provide a reliable and
simplified tuning procedure for the HT-4/TAC-1 transmitter-antenna
coupler a ui n procedure utilizing a directional watt
meter and the dummy load is being issued as
4. The drafting unit prepared 182 drawings during the month.
5. POWER:
a. Defective voltage regulation on a 60 kw Manav-al
Motors diesel generator installed at
was corrected after a factory representative ma a ._
circuit and regulator changes. An attached memorandum
to the file covers the action in detail.
b. A memorandum to the Materiel Support Branch was pre-
pared outlining the quantity of oil filters required for
all existing diesel generators allocated to the stock-
pile. A criteria for frequency of filter changes was
established.
