SUBJECT: Inspection Report No. 6 - os/A-8 and OS/B-100 with
1. Project Description:
The oS/A-8 is a digitally tuned oscillator designed to replace crystals
as the frequency determining element in agent transmitters. Frequency
coverage is 2 - 11.99 Mc/s in 10 kc/s steps. The OS/B-100 is configured
to mate with the RS-100 transmitter and, the output frequency is generated
by a three phase, locked loop mixing scheme instead of a single loop.

7. Project Description:
The OS/B-100 has been breadboarded and adjustments are being made to
those circuits that-are not performing to complete satisfaction. Several
acceptable circuits have been layed out in thin film form, and at least
one is being fabricated. The problem areas at the moment involve the RC-VCO
noise and lock range, spurious suppression in one of the three loops, and
adequate power regulation.
Very little work has been done on the OS/A-8. The contractor is
awaiting the results of the OS/B-100 in hopes that identical circuits
can be used in both units.
